Domaine Bzikot, Puligny-Montrachet

It was one of those occasions when we all looked at Andrew and asked if he was joking. He had told us about his first visit to Sylvain, explaining about his wines, and the fact that they weren't available in the UK. Why on earth not? We are delighted to have rectified this. His wines sold exceptionally well during our En Primeur Offer and sadly our allocation of his 1er Cru Folatières have all gone (worth noting to get a bid in for his 2008's). His Village wine and red Auxey are excellent, but on a pound-for-pound basis, his Bourgogne Blanc is exceptional as Derek's score reflects. Essentially you are drinking a Puligny for £13.50. That doesn't happen too often with the Euro at this level!

Wine to watch: Puligny-Montrachet 2007 £24.95 per bottle
