Château Belgrave, Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux
A 5ème Cru under the 1855 Classification, this property has been on the 'up' since it was acquired by Dourthe in the eighties. Not only did they renovate the tired properties but they have also entered into a significant replanting programme. The château is situated just outside the St Julien appellation in the village of Saint Laurent. It has 55 ha of vines of which 40% are Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% are Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and the final 5% is Petit Verdot.
During the En Primeur release each year Belgrave's wines offer excellent value and will cellar for at least 10 years. Their wines fit in very well to a cellar plan.
