Mollydooker, McLaren Vale, South Australia
Sarah and Sparky Marquis are two of Australia's leading viticulturalists and winemakers. They made their first wine together in 1994, and worked for various wineries together winning many awards. In 2005 they realised their dream and developed their own label, Mollydooker - a term used to describe a left-hander, as both Sarah and Sparky are. They built a small team whose motto is "We make wines which make people go WOW, through attention to detail and commitment to excellence." They firmly believe that excellence is achieved in the vineyard.
Robert Parker has described the wines as "totally decadent homages to joy and yumminess." We presume this means he likes them. Judging by his scoring (seven of the 2007 vintage wines scored between 91-99 points) he does. The wines are in very limited supply and allocation is tight so please do contact us if you have interest.
