Trentham Estate, Murray River Valley Australia

The Murphy family moved to Trentham Cliffs in 1960 where the vines flourished in rich red loam over limestone soils, nurtured by the water of the Murray River. The first vintage was produced in 1984 using only 6 tonnes of grapes. The Trentham Estate was set up in 1988. Today the vineyards spread over 60 hectares and produce over 1200 tonnes of grapes.

The philosophy at Trentham is to produce high quality varietal wines at affordable prices with an emphasis on full fruit flavours and palatability. The headline for these wines should be 'great wines at great value'. It remains a very much family run business. There are four ranges of wines produced by Trentham - Trentham Estate, Murphy's, Lantana and Willandra.
