Bordeaux 2009 Releases as at Wed 5th May 2010

Edward Parker Wines Offers Wednesday 5th May 2010 – More Sweets

We have seen a raft of sweet wines being released. As we have previously noted, this is an exceptional vintage for the wines from Barsac and Sauternes. Many are suggesting the best d’Yquem ever. Prices have been a little mixed. We were surprised by the price of Ch. Suduiraut and in our opinion it is too high. Faith was restored when we saw the price of Ch. Guiraud which in € terms was lower than their 2007. Both scored the same with Derek and we strongly recommend the Guiraud.

One of our top 5 value wines, Ch. Citran, has also been released this morning. Derek was very positive on it. Worth popping a couple of cases in the cellar for what is a very reasonable price.
