The property of Saint André de Figuière sits above the Mediterranean, between Saint-Tropez and Toulon. It has 45 hectares of vines which are surrounded by pine trees, cork oaks, strawberry trees and eucalyptus. It is simply beautiful. For anyone in the area, it is well worth a visit and the Combard family would welcome you with open arms and great hospitality.

The estate has two advantages. Long hours of sunshine in the region (the longest in France) mean the grapes ripen superbly. Second, the influence of the sea air is key as it acts as a thermal buffer enabling the vines to start growing early in the Spring and the harvest can be carried out prior to the Autumnal rains.

The ‘Signature’ range of wines, of which Valérie is one, are named after Alain and Gabrielle Combard’s children. The Valérie Blanc is a blend of Sémillon, Vermentino and Ugni-blanc. It has a wonderfully fresh bouquet of white flowers and lemon, and this freshness is reflected on the palate, as is the lemony edge. We believe with the summer coming, this Provencale wine is an ideal aperitif and goes wonderfully with lighter dishes and salads.
