The 27th – Will the In-Laws Be Leaving?

One can keep offering top notch wines just so long, but it's time now not to push the boat out, but just offer decent, good, every day wines. Maybe the in-laws might get the message that it's time they returned home so you can get ready for the upcoming New Year's Eve party. This said, we are still offering a mixed case with some wonderful wines. The Galapian is from the little known Côtes de Marmandais and is similar to claret but the appellation rules allow a splash of Syrah adding some spice at the end. James King's white Unang is getting better and better and makes a wonderful aperitif and the vintage Crémant from Dufouleur is a wine we go on and on about all the time. Better than 'cheap' champagne by a mile. Maybe best to drink this lot in the evening once the family has left....
